SOAPP-CT

Features

Intelligent Defaults and Input Validation

SOAPP-CT contains a considerable knowledge base built and maintained by engineers with years of experience in power plant design that helps you develop and optimize detailed plant conceptual design with a minimum of effort. In addition to accurately modeling plant design, performance, emissions, and costs, this knowledge is applied in several ways to assist you in selecting your inputs to SOAPP-CT.

ACCURATE GAS TURBINE MODELING

Select one of the 63 combustion turbines modeled from data supplied to SOAPP's specifications by manufacturers for specific 50 & 60 Hz gas turbines. Or, use SOAPP-CT's Advanced Analysis feature to input the performance and emissions of any other combustion turbine you would like to evaluate.

INTELLIGENT DEFAULTS

SOAPP-CT calculates suggested input values based on current inputs, allowing non-experts to get results quickly and easily.

INPUT VALIDATION

SOAPP-CT validates input values for internal consistency. Values that are not feasible in the context of other inputs are highlighted in red. Explanations for validation errors are displayed in the Status Bar at the bottom of the Window.

MULTIPLE CHOICE SELECTIONS

SOAPP-CT provides drop down lists to simplify specification of project design wherever discrete choices are appropriate.

VIEW ALL POSSIBLE INPUTS

SOAPP-CT keeps all possible inputs in view to speed consideration of options. Unneeded inputs are disabled ("grayed out") consistent with current user inputs.

PROJECT VALIDATION

Input values that cannot be validated out of context of the other three data sets are shown in blue. SOAPP-CT automatically validates these values before generating a plant design.
