Power Generation Technology Screening

Power generation technologies screening, including natural gas and coal fuels, new and repowering of existing units, and optimization and sensitivity analysis based on capacity, environmental and financial criteria and business goals.

Plant/Project Evaluations

Evaluation of power generation technologies, including co-production and cogeneration alternatives and repowering of existing units, and optimization and sensitivity analysis based on capacity, environmental and financial criteria and business goals.

Combustion Turbine & Cycle Selection

Economic and technical evaluations based on performance, size, cost, and emission information for different combustion turbine models from major manufacturers using site- and owner-specific information such as fuel costs, emission limits, operating histories, and duty.

Conceptual Design: Combustion Turbine Plants

Development and economic and technical evaluation of a series of conceptual designs for a project, identifying the best choice based on project-specific criteria. These conceptual designs will include heat and material balances, equipment size, preliminary design drawings, cost estimates, and financial analyses based on specified site, fuel, operating, and economic parameters.

Plant Cycle Optimization

Technical and cost evaluations, and optimization of process design for combined cycle and cogeneration power plants, including mass and heat balance calculations based on a specific site, fuel, and operating parameters.

Power Plant Equipment Evaluations

Economic and technical evaluations based on performance, size, cost, and schedule information for various pieces of power plant equipment using site- and owner-specific information such as gross plant output, unit capacity factor, steam conditions, and fuel type.

Design & Financial Reviews, including Independent Engineer Reviews
