SOAPPREPO WorkStation Version 2.3 ReleasedPlant Design and Costing Software for Combined Cycle Repowering ProjectsPalo Alto, December 20, 2002: EPRI announced the release of SOAPP-REPO WorkStation Service Release 3. The SOAPP-REPO WorkStation integrates process design, costing, and financial analysis of combined cycle repowering of existing fossil steam plants. This interactive software product supports the analysis of repowering existing coal, oil or gas-fired boilers with combustion turbines and heat recovery steam generators. From user information the SOAPP-REPO WorkStation configures the repowered plant, sizes and costs the new equipment, and performs detailed performance and financial analyses of the resulting conceptual design.
