SOAPP–CT.25 Version 2.2 Released

Plant Design and Costing Software for Distributed Generation Projects

Palo Alto, December 20, 2002: EPRI has announced the release of SOAPP-CT.25 WorkStation Version 2.2. The SOAPP-CT.25 software is used to screen opportunities, evaluate feasibility, optimize design criteria, and prepare proposals for distributed generation projects. It helps users design projects for optimal payback, return, and risk mitigation with accurate modeling of site-specific performance and emissions. SOAPP-CT.25 generates detailed plant cost, emissions, and performance estimates, supporting a wide range of gas turbine models up to 30 MW and using current, manufacturer-supplied data. It allows the user to configure the plant to site-specific conditions and requirements and generates detailed plant performance and emissions estimates, equipment lists, project schedule, bill of materials and capital cost estimates, O&M cost estimates, and financial analyses. New Features in Version 2.2 include:

• Performance and emission models derived from manufacturer-supplied data and equipment cost data from industry sources have been added for the GE LM2000 50 and 60 Hz and Hitachi H-25 50 and 60 Hz, increasing the total number of specific combustion turbines modeled by SOAPP–CT.25 to 40.
• Capital cost data for the combustion turbines has been reviewed and updated as necessary to reflect current 2002 market prices.

All SOAPP software products are designed for Microsoft Windows™. SOAPP-CT.25 operates under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
