EPRI Acquires Sargent & Lundy's Interest in SOAPPAcquisition will lead to greater synergiesPalo Alto, Calif., -- June 16, 1999 - EPRI, the science and technology development organization for the power industry, announced today that it has acquired Sargent & Lundy's interest in SOAPP, LLC, the developer of the award-winning SOAPP® software product line. SOAPP was founded in June 1994 as SEPRIL Services, LLC, with ownership split equally between EPRI and Sargent & Lundy. Concurrently with the acquisition, SEPRIL's name is being changed to SOAPP, LLC (State-of-the-Art Power Products). SOAPP will continue to aggressively develop, distribute, and support the SOAPP family of software products. The SOAPP products have proven to be valuable tools for selecting, designing, and budgeting power generation technology. This acquisition will allow greater synergies between the SOAPP products and EPRI's current and future power generation development program.
